Product Overview

Overview

The BHS Trixy Rig Library is a specialized expansion for the Overloud TH-U platform, meticulously crafted by Big Hairy Sounds. This library is engineered to recreate the iconic, high-gain guitar tones of the 80s and 90s, specifically focusing on the legendary sonic signatures associated with artists such as John Petrucci, Metallica, and Andy Summers.

At the core of this collection are high-fidelity captures based on the MESA/Boogie Triaxis preamplifier, providing producers and guitarists with a professional-grade toolkit for achieving polished, studio-ready rock and metal tones without the need for massive hardware stacks.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Extensive Rig Collection: Includes 55 high-quality Rigs captured from a Triaxis-based signal chain for diverse tonal options.
  • Artist-Inspired Presets: Features 26 dedicated patches specifically engineered to recreate famous album guitar tones from the 80s and 90s.
  • Premium Cabinet Emulations: Utilizes classic Recto 4×12 and Bogner 4×12 speaker cabinets equipped with V30 speakers for authentic resonance.
  • High-End Signal Path: Integrated with classic API preamps to ensure professional clarity, punch, and harmonic definition.
  • Flexible Licensing: Supports authorization on up to three computers and one USB stick via a simple one-click procedure, requiring no hardware dongle.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Prog and Metal Production: Ideal for producers seeking the precise, articulated high-gain saturation found in 90s progressive metal and thrash.
  • Album Recreation: Perfect for session guitarists needing to match the specific sonic signatures of legendary rock records.
  • Modern Sound Design: Useful for adding weight, grit, and harmonic complexity to guitar tracks within a DAW environment.
Setup Notes

Installation

Following purchase, users will receive a digital license for download. Installation involves downloading the library files and authorizing the software through the Overloud account system. Once installed, the rigs can be accessed directly within the TH-U interface. Ensure your DAW is scanned for new plugins to recognize the updated library components.
