Description

Product Overview

Overview

The BHS Iconic 4 Hard & Heavy Rig Library is a professional collection of high-gain guitar tones meticulously captured for the Overloud TH-U platform. Developed by Michael Nielsen of Big Hairy Sounds, this library is engineered to recreate the aggressive, influential guitar textures of the 1980s and 1990s. By leveraging advanced amp capturing technology, it delivers the authentic saturation and punch of legendary rack gear and full-stack amplifiers.

This library is designed for seamless integration with the full version of TH-U. To ensure immediate accessibility, a license for TH-U Essentials is included with the purchase, providing the necessary Rig Player and a foundational set of amps, cabs, and effects to get you started instantly.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Massive Tone Collection: Includes 72 captured rigs and 46 artist-inspired patches for rapid professional dialing.
  • Extensive Hardware Captures: Features 13 distinct amps and preamps captured for maximum sonic authenticity.
  • Captured Preamps: Bogner Fish, Custom Audio Electronics 3+ SE, Gallien Krueger GK2000CPL, Hafler Triple Giant, Langner DCP-1, Marshall JMP-1, Mesa Boogie Quad, Mesa Boogie Triaxis, and TubeWorks Real Tube 922.
  • Captured Full Amps: Gallien Krueger 250ML and Marshall JCM800.
  • Artist-Inspired Presets: 46 curated patches modeled after the most influential heavy metal artists, including tones reminiscent of Alice In Chains.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Heavy Metal Production: Perfect for tracking high-gain rhythms and searing leads that require the specific harmonic saturation of vintage 80s and 90s rack gear.
  • Retro Rock Re-amping: An ideal solution for producers looking to apply “Iconic” era tones to existing dry guitar tracks for a period-accurate sound.
  • Home Studio Recording: Achieve professional-grade, captured amp sounds without the need for loud cabinets or expensive outboard hardware.
  • Live Performance: Run as a standalone plugin or within a DAW to maintain consistent, heavy tones on stage regardless of the venue.
Setup Notes

Installation
