Product Overview

Overview

The Friedman Naked Official Rig Library, created by Big Hairy Sounds for the Overloud TH-U platform, provides an authentic digital recreation of the legendary Friedman Naked amplifier. This library delivers the high-gain prestige and boutique response of one of the most sought-after heads in the industry, offering a professional-grade solution for guitarists who need world-class saturation and clarity directly within their DAW.

What Stands Out

Key Details

This library features 40 high-fidelity captures of two distinct versions of the Friedman Naked head, ensuring a wide spectrum of tonal characteristics for any production style:

  • The Black Head: Engineered for a more modern, larger-than-life sound with increased presence and punch.
  • The White Head: Designed to emulate the feel of a “bad-ass mod” on a vintage amplifier, providing a classic yet aggressive character.
  • Curated Presets: Includes nine specialized presets inspired by the record tones of APC.
  • Premium Cabinet Pairing: All rigs were captured using a British 4×12″ cabinet featuring a high-end combination of Greenback and V30 speakers.
  • Flexible Routing: The TH-U Rig Player allows for seamless switching to the DI Rig if the cabinet section is disabled, giving you total control over your own IR choices.
Best For

Use Cases

The Friedman Naked library is ideal for a variety of professional production environments:

  • Modern Rock & Metal: Utilize the “Black” head captures for thick, aggressive rhythms and cutting leads that sit perfectly in a dense mix.
  • Vintage-Inspired Gain: Use the “White” head captures for classic hard rock tones that require the organic feel of a modified vintage amp.
  • Studio Recording: Achieve a “plug-and-play” professional record sound without the need for expensive microphones or high-volume amplifier setups.
  • Live Performance: Load these rigs into TH-U for a consistent, high-gain stage sound that remains stable across different venues.
