Description
Overview
Attack 3 is the next evolution of one of Waldorf Music’s most iconic and longest-running instruments. This upgrade transforms your percussion production by redefining the modern percussion synthesizer, blending the unmistakable spirit of 1980s analogue drum machines and 1990s electronic club sounds with future-ready synthesis. At its core is a mighty analogue-style engine capable of delivering 24 individual sounds per kit, providing a comprehensive toolkit for everything from punchy kicks to melodic percussion.
Key Details
- Powerful Synthesis Engine: Delivers 24 individual sounds per kit, with 12 sounds playable polyphonically as pitched instruments for melodic rhythmic patterns.
- Advanced Oscillator Section: Features refined precision with accurate phase control for synthetic waveforms and expanded sampling capabilities.
- Supercharged Filter Section: Includes 24 dB filters, positive and negative comb filters, and sample-rate reduction for diverse sonic textures.
- Rich Drive Character: Adds grit and weight via six dedicated drive types: Clip, Transistor, Diode, Crunch, Pickup, and Overdrive.
- Precision Modulation: Two advanced envelopes per sound featuring a modern multi-stage ADBDSR mode with adjustable curves; all envelope times and levels are now fully modulatable.
- Modernized Workflow: A completely redesigned, scalable interface that adapts to any screen size, supported by dedicated browsers for kits, sounds, samples, and MIDI mappings.
Use Cases
- Electronic Music Production: Create driving, club-ready drum patterns that bridge the gap between vintage analogue warmth and modern digital precision.
- Sound Design: Utilize the “synthesis first” philosophy to build unique, never-before-heard percussion textures from scratch.
- Melodic Percussion: Leverage the 12 polyphonic pitched sounds to create rhythmic basslines or percussive melodies.
- Dynamic Performance: Use the enhanced MIDI Learn with definable min/max parameter ranges to map hardware controllers for expressive, real-time tweaks.
