Atelier Series: Amy by MusicalSampling is a specialized legato vocal release meticulously designed for emotional and cinematic contexts. Seeking a tonal balance between classical elegance and pop accessibility, MusicalSampling collaborated with vocalist and music educator Amy Griffin to capture a performance with the stamina and precision required for high-end sample development.

The library features two extensively recorded legato patches performed “long-style.” Unlike traditional sampling that relies on programmed crossfades into a target sustain, these intervals were recorded in full, requiring 12 hours of studio time. This approach ensures a seamless, natural performance that preserves Amy’s organic progression in vibrato, making every interval across the range musically unique.

In addition to the legato patches, the library includes Everlasting, a collection of vowel-evolving sustains processed through various hardware pedals. These samples ebb and flow naturally, providing a rich, atmospheric texture that evolves and loops uniquely for every note, offering composers a versatile tool for ethereal soundscapes.
