Overview
Andy Narell Steel Pans — The Ellie Mannette Collection is the definitive virtual instrument for those seeking the authentic sound of the Caribbean steel orchestra. This historic collaboration brings together world-renowned recording artist Andy Narell and the late Ellie Mannette, recognized as the “father of the modern steel pan.” By sampling instruments from their personal collections—the same pans used on Andy’s professional recordings—this library captures the precise tuning, tonal richness, and dynamic range that set the global standard for the instrument.
Designed for extreme versatility, the collection spans the entire spectrum of the steel orchestra, from intimate solo performances to massive, festive ensemble sounds. Whether scoring a film, producing jazz, or creating electronic music, this library provides a benchmark of quality and authenticity that is unmatched in the virtual instrument market.
