Description
Overview
The Remo Ambassador Fiberskyn Series Drumhead is engineered to deliver a warm, full-range tone with exceptional definition. By blending the clarity of a traditional drumhead with the resonance of a fiber-based surface, this head provides enhanced mid and low-range response, making it a global standard for concert and marching percussion.
Key Details
- Hybrid Construction: Features a unique combination of 1-ply 10-mil film laminated to a 3-mil polyspun fiber for a balanced sonic profile.
- Enhanced Resonance: Specifically designed to boost mid and low-range frequencies, providing a deeper, fuller sound than standard clear or coated heads.
- Soft Articulation: Offers a sensitive response and soft attack, allowing for nuanced dynamics across various playing styles.
- Rugged Durability: Built to withstand the rigors of outdoor performance and heavy use in marching environments.
Use Cases
This drumhead is highly versatile and optimized for the following applications:
- Concert Percussion: The primary choice for Concert Snares, Concert Bass drums, and Concert Toms where a warm, orchestral tone is required.
- Marching & Field Use: Ideal for traditional Field Drums, providing the necessary projection and durability for outdoor parades and competitions.
- Multi-Stick Compatibility: Performs exceptionally well whether played with sticks, brushes, or mallets, adapting its voice to the implement used.
Installation
Installation is straightforward for any standard drum shell of the matching diameter. Ensure the bearing edge of the drum is clean and free of debris. Place the head over the shell and tighten the tension rods in a cross-pattern (star pattern) to ensure even pressure across the hoop. Tune to your preferred tension to balance the warm low-end resonance with the desired amount of attack.
Compatibility
This drumhead is compatible with any drum shell that matches the specified diameter. It is specifically designed for use on:
- Concert Bass Drums
- Concert Snare Drums
- Concert Toms
- Traditional Field Drums
