Description

Product Overview

Overview

The AlterB Collection is a professional TH-U Expansion Library meticulously crafted to deliver high-gain guitar tones inspired by Mark Tremonti and Alter Bridge. Utilizing Overloud’s advanced amp capturing technology, this collection provides a comprehensive sonic palette designed specifically for modern rock, alt-rock, and metal production.

From the aggressive, tight low-end required for percussive rhythm parts to the wide, expressive sustain of lead lines, the AlterB Collection captures the evolution of a signature sound across multiple eras of Alter Bridge—from early records like One Day Remains to more recent releases. To ensure immediate playability, this library includes a TH-U Essentials license, providing the necessary platform to load and run these rigs without requiring a separate purchase.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Extensive Rig Library: Includes 76 rigs and 36 ready-to-play patches covering a vast range of rhythm and lead tones.
  • Era-Specific Voicings: Multiple amp voicings that reflect the changing tonal approach and gain structures of Alter Bridge’s recorded history.
  • Premium Hardware Modeling: Captures the essence of legendary gear, including the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and Fender ’65 Twin Reverb.
  • Professional Mic Selection: Tones are shaped using industry-standard microphones, including the Sennheiser MD421, Beyerdynamic M 160, and Sennheiser e906.
  • Mix-Ready Foundation: Engineered for clarity and weight, ensuring that high-gain tones cut through dense arrangements without becoming harsh.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Modern Metal Production: Ideal for tracking layered rhythm guitars that require a tight, controlled low end and precise articulation.
  • Lead Guitar Tracking: Perfect for dialing in sustained, expressive lead tones that maintain clarity and focus in a professional mix.
  • Re-amping: Use the collection as a high-end re-amping tool to apply signature Alter Bridge tones to existing dry guitar recordings.
  • Fast Prototyping: Utilize the 36 presets to quickly find a starting point for songwriting and production without extensive manual tweaking.
