Product Overview

Overview

The Allan H Collection is a specialized TH-U Rig Library meticulously crafted to recreate the legendary guitar tones of Allan Holdsworth. Spanning the sonic evolution from the I.O.U. through the Planet X era, this collection utilizes Overloud’s advanced capture workflow to deliver the fluid sustain, expressive clean tones, and spacious modulation that defined one of the most influential guitarists in fusion history.

Designed for guitarists, producers, and engineers, this library provides a comprehensive toolkit for achieving harmonically rich lead sounds and articulate cleans. To ensure immediate playability, the collection includes a TH-U Essentials license, providing the necessary Rig Player and a foundational set of amps, cabs, and effects without requiring a separate purchase of the full TH-U software.

What Stands Out

Key Details

  • Extensive Rig Library: Includes 65 total rigs, consisting of 36 Studio Rigs and 29 DI Rigs, alongside 24 curated patches inspired by Allan’s evolving signature sound.
  • AH-8 Chorus Effect: A dedicated recreation of the Intellifex and UD-Stomp processors, delivering the specific stereo width and fluid movement essential to the Holdsworth tone.
  • Authentic Amplifier Captures: High-fidelity captures of the H&K Switchblade, Yamaha DG-80, and LAB Series L5.
  • Premium Speaker & Mic Pairings: Features the Yamaha DG-80 combo with Celestion G12H-100, H&K Switchblade combo with Celestion V30 speakers, and professional mic placements using Sennheiser e906 and Beyerdynamic M160.
  • Dynamic Response: Engineered for exceptional touch sensitivity, allowing for the nuanced expression required for complex fusion and progressive lead work.
Best For

Use Cases

  • Jazz Fusion & Progressive Rock: Perfect for players seeking the “liquid” lead tone and complex harmonic textures characteristic of modern fusion.
  • Instrumental Solo Work: Ideal for recording melodic solos that require immense sustain and a polished, studio-grade finish.
  • Cinematic Textures: Use the AH-8 Chorus and spacious modulation to create atmospheric, ethereal guitar layers for film or ambient compositions.
  • Studio Production: Provides engineers with instant access to rare, captured vintage gear and specific signal chains without the need for physical hardware.
