Description
Overview
The Samson AirLine 77 AH7 Fitness Headset is a specialized wireless microphone system engineered specifically for fitness instructors and high-energy performers. Unlike traditional wireless systems that rely on cumbersome beltpacks and cables, the AH7 features a revolutionary micro transmitter mounted directly onto the headset. This design eliminates physical constraints, allowing instructors to move freely and focus entirely on their class or performance without the distraction of wires.
Key Details
- Integrated Micro Transmitter: The AH7 transmitter is mounted directly to the headset, removing the need for a beltpack or connecting cables.
- Qe Condenser Microphone: Equipped with a sweat-resistant capsule designed to prevent corrosion during prolonged exposure to moisture and high-intensity activity.
- Bidirectional Pickup Pattern: The microphone element effectively rejects background noise and minimizes feedback by focusing on signals originating directly in front of the capsule.
- CR77 True Diversity Receiver: Ensures a stable, dropout-resistant connection with a line-of-sight operating range of up to 300 feet (90m).
- Extended Battery Life: The headset transmitter provides up to eight hours of continuous operation using a single AAA battery.
- Professional Receiver Controls: The half-rack receiver includes multi-segment audio and RF level LED meters, volume and squelch controls, and a Mic/Line level output switch.
Use Cases
- Fitness Instruction: Ideal for Zumba, aerobics, and HIIT instructors who require total mobility and a sweat-proof microphone.
- Active Stage Performance: Perfect for performers who engage in choreography or high-movement acts where beltpacks would be obstructive.
- Coaching and Training: Useful for sports coaches or presenters who need hands-free operation while moving across a large area.
Installation
Setup is straightforward and designed for both portable and permanent use. The receiver can be carried in a bag due to its lightweight half-rack chassis or permanently installed in a studio or gym rack using a rackmount kit (sold separately). Connection to the sound system is handled via the rear panel, which offers both balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4″ output options. The headset is adjustable to ensure a secure fit around the ears and the back of the head for long-term comfort.
Compatibility
- Output Connections: Compatible with any audio mixer or powered speaker supporting balanced XLR or unbalanced 1/4″ inputs.
- Power: Transmitter powered by a single AAA battery; receiver powered via the included AC adapter.
- Frequency: Frequency K1 (Region dependent).
