Description
Overview
Developed and introduced over 40 years ago by Latin Percussion, the Afuche/Cabasa has established itself as one of the most recognizable and essential percussion instruments in musical history. This standard model is designed to provide a crisp, metallic rhythmic texture that cuts through a mix with precision and clarity.
The instrument utilizes a specialized design featuring loops of steel bead chains wrapped tightly around a textured, stainless steel cylinder. By rotating the cylinder, players can produce a wide array of signature scraping rhythmic patterns, ranging from subtle shimmers to aggressive, driving accents.
