Description
Overview
The Vater Percussion Acoustick Specialty Stick is a precision-engineered percussion tool designed for musicians who need a unique sonic profile without sacrificing durability. By blending traditional organic materials with modern synthetic reinforcements, this stick provides a distinct alternative to standard drumsticks, making it an essential addition to any professional stick bag for studio or live environments.
Key Details
- Hybrid Construction: Combines 7 high-quality wood dowels with 6 strips of impact-resistant Polymer for a balanced, durable build.
- Protective Striking Layer: The integrated Polymer strips act as a shield, allowing players to “dig in” and play aggressively without the rapid wear and tear typically associated with multi-dowel sticks.
- Customizable Feel: Includes rubber O-Rings that provide a wide range of adjustment, allowing the player to fine-tune the sound and tactile response to their preference.
- Precision Dimensions: Features a length of 16-1/8″ and a grip diameter of 0.595″ for comfortable handling and control.
Use Cases
- Low-Volume Environments: Ideal for situations where traditional sticks are too loud, but a distinct, textured attack is still required.
- Studio Texture: Perfect for recording sessions where a “different vibe” or specific tonal color is needed to complement a track’s arrangement.
- Experimental Percussion: Useful for drummers looking to expand their sonic palette beyond standard hickory or maple sounds.
Installation
No complex installation is required. To customize the performance of the Acoustick stick, simply slide the included rubber O-Rings to the desired position along the shaft to adjust the grip feel and the resulting sonic resonance.
Compatibility
The Acoustick Specialty Stick is compatible with all standard percussion instruments, including drum kits, orchestral percussion, and handheld percussion accessories. It is designed for use by drummers of all genres and skill levels.
