Description
Overview
The Accordions 2 Collection Update is a specialized software upgrade designed for registered owners of the original Accordions 2 (Kontakt version). This update transitions your library to the next-generation Accordions 2 – Collection, now powered by the Engine Player. This evolution replaces the Kontakt-based version with a refined suite of instruments, offering significant improvements in sound quality, playability, and expression.
Developed by Eduardo Tarilonte and recorded at Eldana Estudio using the legendary U47 microphone, this collection captures the living breath of the accordion. The update introduces the brand-new Folk Melodeon—a traditional diatonic accordion with a warm, characterful sound—while refining all previous instruments to ensure the highest level of realism and musical depth.
Key Details
- Advanced Sampling: Chromatically sampled with 3 dynamic layers and 3 round robins for authentic response.
- Authentic Nuance: Includes detailed bellows movements, key noises, and natural release sounds to eliminate the “sampled” feel.
- Expanded Instrument Array: Features 10 authentic accordions, including the newly added Folk Melodeon.
- Integrated Left-Hand Section: The Accordion, Folk Accordion, Concert Accordion, and French Musette include basses and chords with 14 rhythmic accompaniment styles, latch, and note length control.
- Dedicated Performance Interface: Direct access to registers, reeds, dynamics, noises, reverb, and bellows parameters via the Engine interface.
Use Cases
- Film Scoring & Game Audio: Adding authentic ethnic textures and emotional depth to cinematic soundtracks.
- World Music Production: Creating authentic arrangements for Tango (via the Bandoneon), French Musette, or Alpine folk music.
- Folk & Traditional Composing: Utilizing the Folk Melodeon for traditional diatonic sounds.
- Orchestral Layering: Using the Bass Accordion for deep lower-register support and orchestral accompaniment.
