The Tycoon Percussion 6″ ABS Tamborim is a professional-grade percussion instrument designed for players seeking a crisp, cutting sound with modern durability. Featuring a high-impact ABS shell in a clean white finish, this tamborim provides the bright, piercing projection required for traditional Brazilian rhythms and contemporary percussion ensembles.
Key Details
- Durable ABS Construction: Built with a high-quality ABS plastic shell that resists weather changes and physical wear, ensuring consistent tuning and longevity.
- Compact 6″ Diameter: The standard 6-inch size provides the ideal balance of portability and sonic punch.
- Lightweight Design: Weighing only 0.66 lbs, it reduces fatigue during extended performances or high-energy rhythmic sections.
- High-Contrast Finish: Finished in a professional white, making it a visually striking addition to any stage setup.
Use Cases
- Samba and Batucada: Perfect for providing the sharp, syncopated accents essential to authentic Brazilian Samba.
- World Music Ensembles: An excellent choice for percussionists exploring Latin and Caribbean rhythms.
- Educational Settings: The durable ABS shell makes it an ideal instrument for students and beginners who need a reliable, low-maintenance drum.
- Live Performance: Its cutting frequency allows it to be heard clearly over loud brass sections or electronic amplification.
Installation
This instrument arrives ready for use. To optimize performance, ensure the head is tensioned to your preferred pitch using the integrated tuning system. Because of the ABS shell’s stability, the instrument maintains its tune better than traditional wood shells in varying humidity levels.
