Description
Overview
The Michael Kelly 59 Thinline Electric Guitar in Gloss Black is a sophisticated semi-hollow instrument designed to bridge the gap between the snap of a single-coil and the resonance of a hollow body. Featuring a classic semi-hollow design with traditional f-holes, this guitar delivers a coveted, recognizable tone that is both warm and punchy.
Combining a sleek aesthetic with high-performance hardware, the 59 Thinline is engineered for players who demand a versatile instrument capable of handling a wide array of musical styles while maintaining a balanced, comfortable feel.
Key Details
- Semi-Hollow Construction: Mahogany body with f-holes provides a rich, airy resonance and a striking visual character.

- Premium Neck Profile: Features an ultra-low profile neck shape for effortless playability and reduced hand fatigue.
- High-Quality Materials: Built with a rock maple neck and a roasted jatoba fingerboard, offering enhanced durability and a dark, rich tonal character.
- Refined Hardware: Finished with polished chrome hardware and a synthetic graphite nut for improved tuning stability and sustain.
- Versatile Switching: A three-position switch allows for seamless transitions between pickup configurations.
Use Cases
- Blues and Jazz: The semi-hollow mahogany body and P90s provide the warmth and “breath” required for authentic jazz lines and soulful blues leads.
- Indie and Alternative Rock: The “twang” of the P90s combined with the body’s resonance makes this an ideal choice for jangly, textured rhythms and cutting leads.
- Studio Recording: The balanced nature of the instrument and the detailed mid-range of the Rockfield pickups ensure a clear signal that sits well in a professional mix.
