Description
Overview
The Tycoon 2nd Generation 29 Series Crate Cajon is a professional-grade percussion instrument designed to blend a rustic, vintage aesthetic with modern sonic performance. Crafted from environmentally-friendly Siam oak wood, this instrument is the evolved successor to the original Crate Cajon, featuring a unique visual design that mimics the appearance of an old wooden shipping crate.
Each unit is individually hand-made and tested to ensure superior sound quality and structural integrity, providing a reliable and resonant rhythmic foundation for any musical setting.
Key Details
- Premium Construction: Built using sustainable Siam oak wood for a warm, organic tone and long-term durability.
- Distinctive Sonic Profile: Equipped with a non-adjustable internal drum snare affixed to the front plate, delivering a crisp, signature snap that differentiates it from standard cajons.
- Vintage Aesthetic: Specifically designed with a “crate” look, making it as much a visual statement piece as it is a musical instrument.
- Enhanced Stability: Features four integrated rubber feet to prevent slipping during aggressive play and to protect flooring surfaces.
Use Cases
- Acoustic Performances: Ideal for singer-songwriters and unplugged sessions where a full drum kit is impractical.
- Street Performing: The durable Siam oak construction and portable design make it a perfect choice for busking.
- Studio Recording: Provides a unique, earthy percussion texture for folk, indie, and world music recordings.
- Educational Settings: An accessible entry point for percussion students due to its intuitive playability and robust build.
Installation
The Tycoon 2nd Generation 29 Series Crate Cajon arrives fully assembled and ready for immediate use. No complex setup or tool-based installation is required. Simply place the instrument on a flat surface, ensuring the rubber feet are making full contact with the floor for maximum stability before beginning your performance.
