Description
Overview
The Tycoon 29 Series Polar Ice Acrylic Cajon is a visually stunning and sonically powerful percussion instrument designed for musicians who demand consistency and durability. Featuring a striking, translucent icy body crafted from solid acrylic, this cajon blends modern aesthetics with professional-grade performance. Because it is constructed from 100% synthetic materials, it remains completely impervious to humidity and temperature fluctuations, ensuring your sound stays consistent regardless of the environment.
Key Details
- Solid Acrylic Body: The translucent “Polar Ice” shell provides a unique visual appeal and a distinct tonal resonance that differs from traditional wood.
- Fiberglass Front Plate: A high-impact fiberglass playing surface ensures maximum durability and a crisp, cutting attack.
- Weather-Resistant Construction: Fully synthetic build eliminates the risk of warping or cracking caused by humidity changes.
- Precision Craftsmanship: Each unit is hand-made and individually tested to guarantee optimal sound quality and structural integrity.
- Customizable Snare Response: Includes an allen wrench, allowing players to easily adjust the snare wire tension to achieve their preferred snap and sizzle.
Use Cases
Live Performance: The high-projection acrylic shell and fiberglass plate make this cajon ideal for cutting through a mix in loud acoustic or electric ensembles.
Outdoor Gigs: Since the materials are impervious to humidity, this is the perfect choice for street performing, beach concerts, or open-air festivals where wooden instruments might suffer.
Studio Recording: The unique tonal qualities of the acrylic body provide a modern percussive texture that stands out in contemporary pop, electronic, or fusion recordings.
Installation
The Tycoon 29 Series is ready to play straight out of the box. To customize the sound, use the included allen wrench to adjust the snare wires located inside the rear of the unit. Tightening the wires increases the “snap” of the snare, while loosening them provides a deeper, thuddier bass response.
Compatibility
This is a standalone physical percussion instrument. It is compatible with all standard cajon accessories, including optional carrying bags and cajon stands (sold separately).
