Overview
The Tycoon Percussion 29 Series Neon Green Acrylic Cajon is a visually striking percussion instrument designed for players who demand both high-impact aesthetics and professional sonic performance. Combining a modern acrylic shell with a premium playing surface, this cajon delivers a wide dynamic range, from thunderous low-end resonance to crisp, cutting high-end accents.
Each unit is individually tested to ensure superior sound quality and structural integrity, making it a reliable choice for street performers, studio recording, and live stage applications where a bold look and a powerful sound are required.
Key Details
- Acrylic Body: Constructed with a vibrant neon green acrylic shell that provides a bright, projecting tone and a modern, eye-catching appearance.
- Makah Burl Frontplate: Features a high-quality black Makah Burl playing surface, offering a sophisticated contrast to the neon body and a responsive feel under the hands.
- Sonic Profile: Engineered to produce deep, loud bass tones in the center and sharp, high-frequency slap notes on the edges.
- Adjustable Snare: Includes an integrated snare system to customize the “snap” and brightness of the slap tones.
Use Cases
- Live Performance: The neon green acrylic shell makes this an ideal choice for stage performers who want their instrument to be a visual focal point.
- Acoustic Accompaniment: Perfect for providing a full drum-kit feel (bass and snare) for singer-songwriters and acoustic ensembles.
- Street Performing: The durable construction and loud projection ensure the sound carries effectively in open-air environments.
- Studio Recording: The distinct tonal separation between the bass and slap notes allows for clean mixing in percussion tracks.
Installation
This cajon is ready to play immediately upon arrival. To customize the sound to your preference, use the included snare adjusting Allen wrench to tighten or loosen the internal snare wires. Tightening the snare will produce a crisper, more aggressive slap, while loosening it will provide a warmer, more organic tone.
Compatibility
This is a standalone physical percussion instrument. It is compatible with any standard performance setting and does not require external power or electronic integration.
