Overview
The Tycoon 29 Series American Ash Wood Box Cajon is a professional-grade percussion instrument designed to deliver a versatile range of tones in a portable, durable package. Combining high-quality tonewoods with precision craftsmanship, this cajon provides the rhythmic foundation of a full drum kit within a single wooden box, making it an essential tool for street performers, acoustic ensembles, and studio recording.
Key Details
- Premium Construction: The body is crafted from high-quality American ash wood, providing a resonant chamber that projects sound with clarity and strength.
- Exotic Zebrano Front Plate: Features a striking Zebrano wood front plate that not only offers a unique aesthetic but contributes to the instrument’s distinct tonal characteristics.
- Dynamic Sound Profile: Engineered to produce deep, loud bass tones when striking the center and high, sharp slap notes when playing near the edges.
- Hand-Crafted Quality: Each unit is individually hand-made and rigorously tested to ensure superior sound quality and structural integrity.
- Customizable Response: Includes an Allen wrench, allowing the player to easily adjust the internal snare wires to fine-tune the snap and sensitivity of the slap sound.
Use Cases
- Acoustic Performances: Ideal for unplugged sessions where a full drum set is impractical, providing a natural bass and snare alternative.
- Busking and Street Performing: The portable design and loud projection make it perfect for outdoor environments.
- Studio Recording: Adds an organic, earthy percussion layer to folk, pop, or jazz tracks.
- Educational Settings: A great introductory instrument for percussionists looking to explore hand-drumming techniques.
Installation
The Tycoon 29 Series Cajon is ready to play immediately upon arrival. To customize the sound, use the included Allen wrench to adjust the snare wire tension. Tightening the wires will produce a crisper, tighter slap, while loosening them provides a deeper, more open resonance.
