Overview
The Tycoon Percussion 24 Series Hardwood Cajon is a professional-grade percussion instrument designed for musicians who demand a balance of warmth, punch, and versatility. Each unit is individually hand-made and rigorously tested to ensure superior sound quality and structural integrity, providing a reliable rhythmic foundation for any acoustic setting.
Key Details
- Premium Material Blend: Constructed with a robust Siam Oak body paired with exotic Asian hardwood to produce a rich, resonant tone.
- Customizable Response: Features adjustable snare wires, allowing the player to fine-tune the “snap” and buzz of the instrument to suit specific musical genres.
- Hand-Crafted Quality: Every cajon is built by hand to ensure precise tolerances and a consistent sonic profile.
- Compact Footprint: Designed with a 24cm width, making it an efficient choice for tight stages or mobile performances.
Use Cases
- Acoustic Accompaniment: Ideal for singer-songwriters and unplugged sessions where a full drum kit is impractical.
- Street Performing: The portable hardwood construction makes it a durable choice for busking and outdoor events.
- Genre Versatility: Perfect for Flamenco, Folk, Pop, and Jazz, with the adjustable snares allowing for a transition between a dry thud and a crisp snare crack.
Installation
The Tycoon Percussion 24 Series is ready to play out of the box. To customize the sound, use the included Allen wrench to adjust the tension of the internal snare wires. Tightening the wires increases the snare presence, while loosening them provides a deeper, more organic bass response.
Compatibility
This is a standalone physical percussion instrument. It is compatible with any acoustic performance environment and can be amplified using external contact microphones or boundary microphones for larger venues.
