Description
Overview
The 100 Years of Beyerdynamic IR Pack is a premium collection of guitar and bass cabinet impulse responses created to celebrate a century of sonic innovation. Developed by world-renowned producers Kristian Kohle and Jens Bogren in collaboration with Beyerdynamic, this pack serves as a digital fingerprint of the company’s legendary microphone history. From rare prototype microphones and vintage ribbons from the 1960s to edgy dynamic mics from the 1930s and cutting-edge modern technology, this library provides an unprecedented range of tonal colors for the modern guitarist and bassist.
Key Details
- Historic Microphone Access: Exclusive captures utilizing Beyerdynamic’s archives, featuring a blend of vintage, prototype, and modern microphones.
- Technical IR Suite: High-precision captures of nine different microphones positioned in front of a coveted 2002 Celestion V30 speaker, offering up to 13 discrete mic positions for total tonal control.
- Producer-Ready Presets: 32 meticulously engineered “Producer IRs” designed for rhythm, lead, and bass. These are pre-blended and processed to drop directly into a mix without further tweaking.
- Massive Library: Over 230 total impulse responses covering a vast spectrum of sonic characteristics.
- Phase-Aligned Precision: All IRs are carefully phase-aligned, allowing users to blend and mix multiple responses without experiencing phase cancellation.
Use Cases
- Professional Mixing: Use the Producer IRs to achieve a polished, “record-ready” sound instantly for high-gain rhythm or soaring lead tracks.
- Custom Tone Shaping: Utilize the Technical IRs to emulate a real studio environment, blending different microphone positions to find the exact frequency balance for your specific instrument.
- Vintage Emulation: Access the warmth of 1960s ribbon mics or the aggressive bite of 1930s dynamic mics to add historical character to modern productions.
- Bass Reinforcement: Leverage the dedicated bass IRs to add weight and definition to low-end tracks.
