IA-LA1 is a simple-to-use compressor plugin. Its two main controls are Threshold and Make-up Gain. The threshold sets the level at which compression begins; audio exceeding this level is compressed, reducing dynamic range. This threshold is visualized as an orange line on the input meter. Use the Make-up gain to compensate for any resulting loss in loudness. Perfect compression is achieved with just these two controls—no need to set attack or release parameters.
